One of many important attractions in the north of England, is several landmarks that are stunning landscapes, that leave many people spoilt for selection of where to go. Depending on whether or not you will be visiting for the initial time or not, you are going to often come across tour guides to show you around. This region is famous for walking also as cycling and horse riding tours, which might be commonly preplanned. Guests also get to engage within a variety of water sports, that consist of kayaking and boating among other people. In addition, you will find varieties of wildlife and bird species, that draw a lot of people today right here.

Usually, visiting Northumberland is a best strategy to enjoying the outdoors, simply because apart from the activities you may also get to appreciate some good sights of castles. In fact, the number of castles here is estimated to become about 60, with most of them possessing been in existence for many centuries. Thus, you will find each magnificent castles, too as traces of castles which have ceased to exist.

Interestingly, I got the opportunity to design the dining room of one of the castles, that is near Hexham. Unlike the many castles that have turned into ruins, this castle is quite functional. It is strategically located near Hadrian's Wall, whose history dates back to 1482 and is therefore frequented by many people. This castle is characteristic of those ancient constructions that emphasized on thick walls. It also has a moat, huge cellars that are used for the storage of wine and fruit garden that is walled all around it.

When it comes to the interior, the castle boasts of spacious rooms, as is evident in the substantial bedrooms, living room and even the dining room. You can find also several contemporary art on the walls that give it a terrific appeal by effectively developing wonderful ambience. In designing the dining space, I brought in an element of both country and English design, by bringing inside a farmhouse table with a dark brown finish that was perfectly complimented by modern leather chairs. I also played about with the color to offer it a particular appeal, even though achieving the concept of maintaining the historic element from the castle. I also included a gold mirror, to bring in some contrast due to the fact contrast is amongst the universal guidelines for designing. This resulted in one of the best dining styles of all time.

In conclusion, while numerous on the castles that have been in existence from previous centuries, have equally old furnishings that's reflective with the times, they had been made, it can be doable to inject some fresh and contemporary appeal into these castles. When designing the bedrooms, I used custom wardrobes that filled a large space. This will not simply preserve them from deteriorating, but gives a perfect chance to preserve them. In addition, introducing modern element into these castles contributes, towards escalating the number of guests coming, since they would also prefer to see how the castles have managed to transform throughout time, to accommodate some of the contemporary components in terms of accessories, furnishings and even design.

  2. I usually have store bought or inherited wardrobes, but they usually aren't quite right for my needs. My last one didn't have a section that was long enough for my dresses, so they trailed the bottom. This was a bit annoying.

I got a custom made one last year and it was a perfect fit for my clothes.
